Focus on basics in search for win

Most preparation talk is accompanied by a disclaimer - that fritz students might not play the powergame, but they will explore the widest range of 'basics' in chess as they attempt to better showing of last year.

our team in the competition declined playing any practice games. Instead, we opted to have a rigorous session to "get into the groove".

Our mental preparation will remain the same as if we are playing the best team . We can't relax. Whoever you are playing, at the end of the day you are representing and you have to be at your best.
